Welome to Hawks' Nest Simulator Center!
I would like to welcome you to Hawks' Nest Simulator Center! We offer a club setting that specializes in simulator-based pilot training, geared for the General Aviation pilot. Our center is set up with three FAA-Approved flight training devices and two procedural trainers. At an affordable monthly rate, you can receive either a specific type of trainig, currency options, or just come in and practice and have some fun.

Every pilot has to go through continued education and ongoing flight training in order to stay proficient and safe.
Unfortunately, it is a very expensive process to use aircraft for everything you need. It doesn't matter if you fly for recreation, business, or as a professional, we all must learn beyond what the license or rating requires. Hands down, simulators are the most cost effective way to improve your aviator skills and knlowledge.

Living in sunny Arizona, we don't have the opportunity to experience many IFR days. So what better way to stay sharp on your instrument skills than fly in an air conditioned simulator? By the way, here at Hawks' Nest, you can perform your insturment currency and not lose your privilage to fly IFR.

There's another big advantage of using simulators. A pilot can experience actual emergencies,
instead of simulated emergencies in the aircraft. You can see what it's really like to have an
engine failure on liftoff in IMC, the effects of inflight icing, or if your having a really bad day,
multiple emergencies. The pilot will have to perform the checklist through it's completion, all
while maintaining aircraft control, comunications, and keeping their situational awareness. It's
a skill that needs to be practiced, or it will be forgotten. You and your family may depend on it!

One of my specialties is Scenario-based training. This type of training lets the pilot experience situations that they wouldn't normally encounter. i.e. approaches to minimums to a wet and short runway, mountainous airport procedures, wind sheer, runway incursion avoidance, and many others. Airlines and corporations have been using this technique for years. Have you?
